As some of you may have seen I just finished up a SMG type 98. I enjoyed the whole process so much I decided to start a new project. I've already tinkered with it some but not a whole lot. I got a good deal on a bossman mag kit, and that is what sparked my idea.

I had another 98 laying around so I figured I'd do something with it. I am going to be transferring to the University of Missouri soon so this is gonna have to be a quick one.

At first I was going to go with an M4 look but I couldn't find a cheap barrel and shroud fast enough. I just bought a quick thread flatline off eBay. The only reason I bought it was for the top rail but since I am on a time crunch I decided to change my original plans.

So instead of going for a M4/Milsim look, I'll be going towards more of a rifle set up. I already milled off the 98 Custom lettering and added a few attachment I had left over from previous 98s over the years. My plans are to chop the mag into a much shorter version, much like a regular old rifle would have, and with the flatline on there I think it will look pretty good.

Other than that I am not sure what I could do or what would look good. I've thought about mounting a bipod but, like I've said before, I'm about to be moving out. Unless I can find one for a really good price, I don't think I'll be willing to spend the cash to get one. So any suggestions or advice is very welcome.

I have a quick thread flatline on my 98, and i think you might not be able to get a bipod on it although i will say if you can get one on it will be a massive boost to the accuracy with the flatline. A solid stock in place of the wire looks really good as well.

Either you have to stop posting up projects, or I have to stop clicking on your links!!! Love your last project 98, and this one is looking good to!

Isnt this the one that just sold or is for sale?

Maybe put a Rail on top or Flatten out the top so a rail could be added. Mill down the rear sight a bit so its all nice and even. :-p kinda need to flatline on to get a better Idea with how "even" they would be. Ive got a UTG Bi-Pod but Im trying to sell it with this scope I have and am not really looking to part out atm. Looks good so far tho *thumbs up*

Yes this is the one for sale. I did finish it to a point. I wanted to do a few more things to it but classes started way too soon so I wanted getting rid of all the projects I had going except my Phenom I picked up not to long ago.

Here is what the 98 looks like now though. It is sitting in my closet waiting for a new owner.



I got the flatline on there and added a bossman mag kit as well as a few other peices for looks.
