Re: update:new project 98 lmg

man, really didn't appreciate my thread getting jacked like that...

back to the subject, I'm really getting close to finishing this project. got the boxmag working like a dream, working on making the front sight, waiting on the 16'' barrel i bought on ebay so I can finish it. Now I have 2 options, either I fiberglass the whole thing or I cover it with weldbond adhesive. The thing is, I never use that stuff, so dunno how it will turn out. Any of you guys know anything about it?

Re: update:new project 98 lmg

I would fiberglass it. But I wouldn't use mat or anything like that I would just do a couple coats of resin. That stuff likes to stick to wood but it takes a while to dry and the fumes are horrid. But, when it drys it's solid stuff..

Re: update:new project 98 lmg

I might go the bondo fiberglass resin route. But I'll have to put off this project for awhile. Gotta put in a new sewer line for the house and it's gonna cost a fortune.
