so I've been toying with the idea of making a "sleeper"...

so apart from the barrel it is supposed to look like a stock 98.. perferably a bit beaten up

the thing is.. I was not thinking upgrading a 98, rather, gutting it and sticking something else inside it.. like a DM, PM or something else that will fit (regulator and all). This is not because I think that that would be better than en ebolted, LP, centerfed 98 with all the bells and whistles.. it is because I do not want it to LOOK like it has all the gadgets..

anyone else have thought of that?

it would be cool but i dont think you can put the a DM into a 98 shell with out hacking it all to crap and when you do that you might as well keep it stock any ways

might be able to get ion internals in there with the reg as the front grip.

would it be that much better than a egrip? The idea sounds fun to build though.

I did actually think of the ion (have lik,e 5 in bits laying around back home) but I would like to go more "high end" like something with an LPR...

but an ion might work.. but wouldn't the airfittings get in the way when turning the body to the side for the sidefeed? the ion is like 32mm thick, how wide is the 98body? (mine's so modded it is of no use)
