| Re: response trigger spring Minus the trigger spring, you cant buy random springs to replace your current ones. Here is a list of all the types of 98s and their parts... Tippmann Parts If your looking to upgrade or replace your hammer springs, I HIGHLY recommend this kit. A5/98/BT hammer spring upgrade kit

| Re: response trigger spring I completely concur with the Colonel on this...I have used the BT spring kit myself after upgrading my hammer.

| Re: response trigger spring Our local ace hardware has a pretty extensive spring selection, but you're still taking a shot in the dark really. Not sure if ace is a nation-wide chain, but if it is you might check it out. Probably something you can cut down to size there for the sake of getting your gun working. Why not just call tippman though? Its a much safer bet. |

I actually thought I could do this a few years ago, but in reality there is just to many variables when buying random springs. At the least you have to consider spring tension (compression or stretch tension), spring thickness, and compression/stretch distance. Just these 3 variables are enough to make your head spin when trying to match a random off the shelf spring. But I wont tell you not to try it, I still occasionally look for springs for special projects.
