Re: Milsim Tippmann 98ACT

Thanks, Agent! They are about to get even better!

And Ghostleader, just wanted to be sure. I will let you know if it becomes available.

As to the "..about to get even better..", the B5 "Chaosweaver" has already gotten a nice cosmetic yet functional upgrade.

It is a MP5 air-through magazine. The upper bit of it actually has the tombstone machined into it. It just replaces the stock tombstone and locks in place in the same way the old one did, then the airline is plumbed through the magazine and a quick disconnect for the remote line is at a convenient place at the rear of it. Tested and works very nicely but I do not know who manufactured it..

But being in Missouri while the equipment is in South Dakota, this is the only picture of it I have for you..

But my wife did send me this picture for me. Since "Chaosweaver" got some love, you know "Ghost Prototype" can't feel lonely. This is what came in the mail a while ago for it. Can't wait to get home and get it set up with another part I picked up as well! This is also the reason the .50BMG magazine is gonna find a new home, especially since they are unavailable just about everywhere.. sometimes even used. So it needs to be put to some use after it is removed from "Ghost Prototype."

Re: Milsim Tippmann 98ACT

I sure can. But considering that the mag fed body should be the same length as the standard issue body, I can't see it being much different. Unless you are thinking about something else..

But that opportunity won't come until October 17th unless what you want is a length comparison picture.

I believe they are the same size (M82 for the 98 vs M107 for the A5). But what will be different is the way they mount to the marker. I haven't seen one in person to be sure, but my logic is telling me that since they are mimicking magazines that hold the same type of bullet, the .50BMG, that they should be the same size give or take a few millimeters.

Re: Milsim Tippmann 98ACT

Still need to paint everything up so it all matches, but the build went smoothly and operates fine. My only gripe is that I can't use my RT Trigger setup, but that is fine since this is a limited ammo setup anyhow. I also don't have a safety installed since I couldn't figure out how they wanted that bit installed. But it should be fine as most electro tourney markers that every field allows also do not have a safety. Now if they could just get those new "trigger guards" out, then I would be all set!
