Re: An update on Piglet the 98 Special

-dropped the goofy fang trigger and went back to stock (I'll be making a colt style 1911 sliding trigger next, bawhahaa)
-dropped RT and put my now extra POS WAS board in (APE will be next too)
-made my own tele stock from scratch
-modded the flip up grip a bit to fit my short weaver rail i original put on for a laser
-made a new sling mount
-dropped the 9 inch braided hose and put the stock 8inch back on with a quick-disconnect, so i can switch between asa air or remote on the fly

to do-
-APE board
-machine a new trigger
-make a trip to the anodizer
-get a stronger/better laser
-WTF MagPods (aka alt-feed-systems)
-machine up a new rear sight (similar to what the A5 has)
-and im still thinking of how i could do a front cocking mod and keep the ACT
-Colt 1911 grip covers

the JCS RVAs have two 10-32 tapped holes for 'their' folding stocks to attach to...my stock slides over and is bolted to those tapped holes

That stock is awesome... I was gonna ask what kind.. but then I read you made it... the closest thing to that is like the MP5 liding stock on the TM7..etc.. and its like $70+... thats awesome.

there are special set screws in there called 'Ball plungers"...they are used in my industry [metal manufacturing]...they're basicly a set screw with a spring loaded ball bearing...you can get them in all sorts of screw sizes and spring strengths...these ran for 5 bucks each...

plus i made some small grooves for the ball bearings to lock in place...

even without the ball plungers, the stock will stay in place once you put the weight of your shoulder into the stock due to friction...it turned out better than i thought....the RVA attachment i made on a CNC mill (the first op) and the rest on a manual mill...the stock i made completely on a manual milling machine...zero cost to me...
