The L96 usually only has a 5 round magazine, so adding one wouldn't really mess up the profile as it barely sticks out past the stock and it would really round out the look. Cheaper than dirt sells 5 round .308 mags for the M14 that should work.

Problem I have, is I live in N.Y.C., Cheaper Than Dirt and Sportsman's Guide will not ship real steel mags to N.Y.C. address. Too many restrictions for New York City, i.e. won't ship any AR 15 parts of any kind, any mag(even though you allowed 10 rd mags in N.Y.C.), even laser sights or projected sight, etc. They rather aviod the whole problem, even if it is in legal limits.

Well then all I could suggest is a metal airsoft mag. Or if you really wanted to you check to see when the next closest gunshow is and go to one of them. But thats kinda more effort than is necessary. So your best bet is an airsoft mag. Wow do I hate NY state gun laws, but at least its not as bad as you guys down in NYC... freaking retarded.

The laws in New York, especially in New York City limits, are ridiculous...
I mean, I had a bolt action Remington 700 PPS(Police Patrolman's Special), because it was a Police Model, with heavy barrel, they considered it an assault rifle. First time I've seen a bolt action called an Assault Rifle. I had to move it out to my sister's house in Long Island to make the "Law" happy.
