So, I was browsing through eBay, and I came across this Tippmann 98 auction from a pawnshop. It said: "The gun is sold as is, for parts or fix. The gun rapid fires (Kind of like a gun sounds when the tank is low) sometimes. I tried with a half full CO2 tank and same thing? Sold as pictured"

I figured it was something wrong with the sear. Maybe it was worn or broken. I was hoping it was a cheap fix, I didn't know. I took a shot in the dark. So I bought it for $39.99. I figured if I couldn't fix, I could still sell it locally for like $75 or something.

Today I picked it up at the post office.

This is how it looked:



I didn't held back the bolt.

I took it apart, and I found out that the sear spring was missing



I had an extra spring laying around, and voila!



I tested it, and it works flawlessly. No leaks or anything.



I was about to discard the box it came, and guess what it came out of it?



I figured these guys don't know too much about paintball guns.

So tell me how I did??

i once bought a Mitutoyo Bore Gage set for 100 bucks still in the package and all the parts were still factory wrapped...they're weren't smart enough to look in a machine shop catalogue to notice it was a 1200 dollar tool set
