| Cqb 98 Hey guys, I've been registered on this forum for quite sometime, but I have never actually posted. I recently painted my 98, and I think now I'm about ready to call it "finished". I was about 14 when I bought it, and the first thing I did was hack saw the front grip off. I'm 19 now hah. This gun was inspired a lot by special op's a-5a2 kit, which obviously wasn't and option for my poor 98. The idea was to make an effective woodsball/mil-sim oriented marker that basically focuses on the bare essentials. So this is my close quarters 98. It's not designed to shoot far, but rather, allow to me to move far. I used to run a 14 inch barrel and a remote line, but snags on branches, and barrels getting stuck in dirt made that impossible. I took inspiration from the old school pump markers which had their air tanks secured to their stocks. My set up utilizes a "hammock" made from an old barrel condom. It gets the tank in very tight, much more so than any other set up I have seen. I then cropped an old barrel, and voila. I also did a ton of bodywork, just to set my marker apart from the rest. In the third picture you can really see how I've rounded the body, filled in the sight rail, etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
