Hex's Wendigo

EDIT---> this is a build thread, go to the last post of mine in this thread for the most up to date pics/statis

well, since i leaked info on the Wendigo awhile ago, i messed up my teaser thread i ment as a game for people to find out i was building a replica Russian PP-19 Bizon

the Bizon is the Russian version of the FN P-90. both are sub-machine guns and both use an unorthidox magazine systems, the Bizon uses a 64 round helical magazine very similar to a Qloader pod...you now see why i wanted to build one because im a huge fan boy for qloaders and i hate hoppers.

current mock up
-started top rail
-finished CMS bracket
-HH shark tooth barrel
-RT
-Opsgear Diskha - modded
not shown:
-custom trigger
-custom rear stock adapter
-custom front sight
-alternative custom AK-74 barrel break

the trigger i made...works perfectly and its RT compatible....i modelled it after an ak-47 picture i've seen of the trigger disassemmbled...but the bizons look different...probably they use AK-74 like triggers

the bizon uses in reality alot of AK-74 parts, so i'll be making an ebairsoft order for my sights and new pistol grip

i already have a super RT for the wendigo. I'll have recipocating right hand cocking just like the AKs have, but for now i'll keep the stock Tippmann safety system... KISS principal for now, but i may have the AK safety system later on.

i currently have a modified Opsgear Dishka (ak-47 like, which i've seen some pictures with) but i've also made an AK-74u type muzzle break that i've also seen Bizon's with....so i'll go with which other one looks best once its done

i still need to do:
-hack the stock pistol grip off
-make a new trigger guard
-make the barrel shroud
-finish the front sight
-weld some aluminum to the top rail
-make the rear sight housing which i'm ordering an AK-74 rear sight (i've seen Bizon's with AK-47 rear sights, but I can only currently find AK-74 sights cheap enough)
-finish the muzzle breaks
-finish the wire stock
-mod receivers for right hand cocking
-weld the cocking knob onto the linkage arm
-powder coating
-get one more 1/8 banjo fitting
-order some qloader parts (parts in pic are from La Pig's Qloader system)

sample picture

my biggest problem is parts...the Bizon uses AK parts for uniformity with other russian firearms...they crappy thing is the Bizon is rare and so are the pictures...there are more pictures of Bizons from video games than what real ones....i've seen versions with AK47 and AK74 rear sights, AK47u and AK47-like muzzle breaks, and AK74 fixed and folding stocks...and because its modular with the AK family of parts, its hard to figure stuff out because i dont know if the pictures i'm looking at are stock Bizons..there's been many re-designs in my plans but for my purposes its close enough but i have to aplease my personal pride in this project...you've seen the SCARSig?

i gave this gun the pseudonym "the Wendigo" because one of my favorite local heavy metal bands is called BISON BC. they have three songs entittled: The Wendigo pt 1 (quest for fire); the Wendigo pt 2 (Cursed to Roam) and the Wendigo pt 3 (let him burn)

Re: Hex's Wendigo

nice so far, looking forward to the finished product. What is great about a lot of your markers is that you make some of the parts yourself so they are really original.

Re: Hex's Wendigo

nice work, could always use a premade stock (hinged) and custom that onto the gun if you wanted/needed folding abilities...but I honestly think it would look alot better non folding...
