New guy and his build

Hey everyone. Pretty new here. Just picked up an OLD 98 and decided to clean it up and make it look pretty. Figured I'd put some pics up. Not too impressive right now. Just what I started with and after some soda blasting.

How I got it:

After some soda blasting:

Not sure what color I'm going to go with just yet, but I'll post up progress as it happens.

Re: New guy and his build

Testing this color out. I had some Silver Birch Metallic left over from when I painted an aftermarket grille for my Tahoe. I figure I'd give it a shot. Now my gun will match my Tahoe. The lighting isn't allowing the true color to pop out.

Still deciding what to do with the "Tippmann 98" portion. I'm thinking get a modeler's brush and painting it black. After that I'll start polishing up the inside.

i would say if you have a dremel cut down the tippmann and the 98 custom
then sand it down nice and smooth

I'm with arson, my marker only says "custom" on the side in raw aluminum and the rest is an ultra flat black. You're off to a great start looking forward to seeing more through the next stages

I like the color. It reminds me of my old '83 Sedan Deville.
