MR1 ASN's 98C

Well.. I figured I would post up some new pics of my old marker.. Most of you older guys on here have already seen it and know some back story, but most of the new members probably havent seen it.

Well to start, to date, here is the mods and additions list:
Polished internals
aftermarket springs (all trigger, bolt)
painted Coyote Tan
BT AK Barrel Shroud/kit
Special Ops M249 SAW Stock Airthrough, slightly modified for optics
BT15 Bipod and uni adapter
M4 Carry Handle (Metal)
Proto (Im not 100% what model) Speed Gravity hopper
32 Degrees Remote Coil
modified ASA line
Custom sling mounts

(soon to add Pic rails to the AK grip, in the process of that now)

So anyways.. heres some pics I took today just out target shooting in my playing area...

enjoy!

Re: MR1 ASN's 98C

you could switch out the plastic completely instead of adding rails to it. I got 2 of these for a dragunov build (the dragunov front grip is longer than an AK's)

it will require a small modification, since it is made according to realsteal specs, it has three 0,2" wide U shaped things inside it to hold on to the barrel which is too narrow for a paintballbarrel. However that is a quick fix.

is there a reason for the AK front sight being turned the wrong way?
And didn't you have some kind of boxmag on it earilier? what happened to that?

and on a side note, is the frontsight and any of the parts of the BT AK frontend metal?

I dont think the plastic is removable. I was thinking about buying a whole new shroud altogether.. And I didnt know the sight was the wrong way lol. I thought it angled back toward the user. and the boxmag more or less fell apart.. I need to figure out a way to hold it on more securely. and None of the front shroud is metal except the barrel and the mock gas tube.

Re: MR1 ASN's 98C

darn, was really hoping the front sight would have been metal, would have made it worth it to pick one up. Have a complete airsoft SVD which is metal (except for the stock) and I'm missing the front grip.. and I though of getting that kit instead of trying to get the airsoft front sight and gastube to fit somewhat.

sorry for the thread jacking.

about your boxmag, how about making a thread for it and ask for advice/comments and everyone can chip in and perhaps it will help you? personally I would just sink 1-2 nuts in where the VA's airline would go and bolt the box on there

liking the marker, but it looks quite long? is it nice to play with?

dont worry about it lol. The boxmag is mad out of very very easily bendabe aluminum, I tried screws to hold it over the foregrip, but it was a pain to get it to stay without stripping at the metal. I think Im going to just scrap it other than for show, and buy a bossman mag or something of the sort.

It is quite long, and it shoots nice and smooth, even at a distance, but with the bipod on it is very stable and can put round after round on target, but the bore is kinda tight, so if theres any moisture or paint in the barrel, you gotta clean it right then and there or the balls start to curve a bit.
