Re: Jester's 98 Platinum

I'd still like to know what the difference is between the regular 98's and the platinum is. Also, paintballa89; how's the Rocketcock work for you? I just ordered one like 10 minutes ago. XD

Re: Jester's 98 Platinum

well the Platinum has a new split receiver design to make it easier to take apart, also it comes standard with a picatinny rail on the top so that it is easier to mount any sort of sight onto the marker.

Re: Jester's 98 Platinum

Yep, Jester nailed that on the head. Easier access to internal mechanisms. For instance, if you wanted to change the bolt or spring or perhaps install a stock, an old 98 like I have would require taking apart the marker in it's entirety, whereas the new Platinums only require a small section to be removed. VERY convenient.

And hey Jester when you're ready for a foregrip might I suggest this:

An APP 98 rubber foregrip. I used that baby for years with my old setup and it really worked well. Nice and solid, great feel, ergonomic. Click the pic for a link to where they can be purchased if you're interested.
