We've seen a few charity posts as of late. Some range from very worthy causes to others just looking for money to go paintballing. Since there wasn't a specific rule covering it other than "No Solicitations are Permitted" we've updated the Rules and Regulations to reflect the change.
This is the existing rule about solicitation.

If you have a charitable cause that you would like to share that you think is worthy of an exception to the previous rule please PM a member of the staff for approval before doing so. We will handle all situations on a case by case basis and make a judgement based on what the charity is and the standing in the community of the member posting it. Any charities or solicitations posted without staff approval will be deleted and proper discipline action taken up to and including permanent banning if it becomes a problem.

All of us want good causes to get out there and there are plenty of people on the OG sites that are more than willing to help. Just try and use some common sense, the thread about supporting Kids with Cancer through St Baldrick's is an example of a worthy cause, asking for donations so you can get to D-Day is not.
