Re: Hpa Faq

soooo now that I am looking at HPA tanks..

this thread answered alot of questions... but I still have a few..

1. what is the approximate price to recert a tank? as I am assuming you can recert them????

2. Remote lines.. how do they affect the performance? Example.. I want to put the tank on my back instead of on the gun... is this feasonable? or does everyone put the tank on their marker??

3. Sooo now im gonna look on ebay.... Ill go with the largest I can find used at a reasonable price.... I want a large tank to get the most amount of shots possible but in addition... my 98c has a RT and im planning on ordering a cyclone feeder... hence bigger tank to handle the hoggish additions....

1)Ninja Paintball - Paintball Air Systems, Paintball Regulators and Regulator Parts

2)I use a remote and it doesn't effect anything.

3)This is the tank I use.

1. The prices vary but I would go with Crossfire becuase they will recert your tank for $20 plus shipping there and they do a good job. They pay for return shipping. I have also seen places that charge $40 plus shipping both ways.

2. I have been using remote for a couple of years and have seen many other people who have. Using a remote is the only way to go when using a very large tank.

3. I use a 88 ci. 4500 psi (88/45) tank but I have seen 114/45 tanks. The general rule for high presure guns like the 98c is that every cubic inch for a 4500 psi tank is 15 shots and every cubic inch for a 3000 psi tank is 10 shots. The cyclone and the R/T work off of excess gas that would normally be wasted so they won't really hurt your air efficiency but I have used both of these at the same time and would recommend large diameter tubes or going for an electronic loader becuase performance drops on both of these parts when they are used together. You could also upgrade the cyclone feed to be more efficient by replacing the ratchet and rod with a new ones from TechT. I personnally use an upgraded cyclone feed and an e-grip on my 98.

Horrible prices. I'd only pay about $30 for one of those.

Just buy the tank and screw it in, you're good to go.
