I like the reduction in weight you get with a remot, but being attached to your gun can cause problems. Consider a slide check. I prefer to wear the tank on my hip for easier access, but that caused the line to bunch up.

I roll with a remote with quick disconnect

I run gas on gun, with my sling I would strangle myself with a remote while going to and from back slung. Without a sling it would be pretty hard to run a pistol charge, or switch to my Tiberius for CQ situations or "Short Barrel" snipping.
