External switch for Egrip?

So i installed the EGrip in my Project Salvo and it works perfectly, now I am wondering if anyone has ever modded it so there is an external switch to turn on the grip and change firing modes. It is kind of a pain to hit the button with a pin or something.

I am thinking just a simple push button to replicate what the pin does.

Re: External switch for Egrip?

some people on a5og have drilled the push-button hole a little bigger, and then put a rivet in there so they can push the button on the field.

Re: External switch for Egrip?

should not be that difficult to solder a parallell pushbutton, if you're handy with a soldering iron.

just make sure you solder a same type of button on there.

Re: External switch for Egrip?

What I did was use an extra sear pin that I had laying around. I put a couple wraps of electrical tape on it till it fit the hole just snug enough to stay in there. Then I could just push it to change modes.

Re: External switch for Egrip?

what would be really cool would be a selector-switch type switch like the ones on cheap airsoft guns. They are the kind where you have to hold them down to fire, and they spring back when you let them go. Then you could hold the switch down for a second to change modes.

Re: External switch for Egrip?

I think I am going to try and fashion a button just like the one it has but move it to the right side of the marker so I can use a finger to turn it on. If that doesn't work I guess I will just use the extra sear pin idea to extend it out some.

Re: External switch for Egrip?

ya just make sure you dont put it where your fingers will set
nothing like turning your marker off in the middle of shooting....
