All you need is the reciever board, key fob, some wire, and a 9v battery. All of it together would fit in your hand. I dont see it getting any smaller than that for cheap.

I can build a remote detonator with arming safety from scratch for around $40, but its wired to the device, yet fits in 1 hand.

You could also find some remote model rocket ignition system triggers.

Re: Remote Mine

Looking around I am seeing model rocket ignitions for between $20-$30, but again those are the wired ones.

Re: Remote Mine

ok i know you are thinking that you want some sort of a remote push button device. But what if you made a mine with a switch that you shoot to activate. you are going to gave to be looking at the mine any way to activate it in the first place, so instead of haveing complex electronics go with a simple switch that has some sort of a target on it that you can shoot. the switch could be a push button momentary switch conected to a sprinkler valve or what ever.

Do you know where I can get the parts for this? Do you have a picture or schamatic for the operation? The arming safety is a biggie... how does that work. i am sort of a novice when it comes to this part of the electronics side of things. Shoot me a Pm and we can talk about this... thanks again for all the ideas..

Re: Remote Mine

You can get the safety toggles at radio shack or another electronics store. You have the safety toggle wired after the fire button, so when the toggle is in the safe position the fire button's circuit can't be completed even when pressed. Thats the basic idea.
