| Re: paint size and barrel help and advice The Flatline has a vastly oversized bore, but it is completely opposite any other barrel in just about all aspects. It does work better with the smaller bore paint, as the small paint is able to catch and roll on only one side of the inner surface. Larger paint may catch on more than one surface and generate massive amounts of friction, which leads to barrel breaks. In other words, it just won't work right with large paint. As far as the Lapco goes, it is better suited for the large paint as it is a straight, smooth barrel. The Flatline likes better quality paint and the Lapco is more open to different choices. |

| Re: paint size and barrel help and advice Most people recommend Marbilizers, but any good small bore paint will work (and I can send you a doc I just made that will demonstrate how to test the quality of the paint). Test the Googlefu on different paintball sizes and go for one that it at least .687 or smaller. There used to be what's called the Otter paintball chart, but it's dead now. Below, though, are a couple of links with different paintball sizes, but they are kind of old and may be outdated. | Re: paint size and barrel help and advice The best way to go is to underbore by about .003, IIRC. Too low of an underbore and it puts a lot of spin on the ball. But this is only good if you have a kit and can change it easily. If you're planning on getting one barrel, I would overbore. It would be impossible to get one barrel that would be the perfect underbore for every brand and batch of paint you use, since they vary so much. You'll lose some effeciency this way, but you'll be better off. As for paint? Well, any paint will do. Pretty much all paint is .685 or smaller. You'll be comfortably overboring with pretty much everything you use. |

| Re: paint size and barrel help and advice For the most part I am looking for a good paint to use with a flatline, and Marbilizers are just a bit out of my price range. I'm not looking to spend more than $50 a case. I really only want to spend $40 but I'm willing to pay a little more to get my flatline to perform to its max. |
