Re: Best budget paint for a 98

Stinger isn't too bad. I think Diablo Heat is a bit better, but only marginally.

And BTW, thumbs up on the post. I thought I was the only one here who knew about Punkworks. I was going out of my mind.

Re: Best budget paint for a 98

I like the Diablo Heat and Formula 13 myself. Haven't had any problems with anything by Draxxus. Sterling paint is pretty good too, their Sheild is a good cold weather paint.

Punkworks is doing a great job on testing... although, I’m beginning to doubt their analysis skills. Not that mine are all that great, mind you...

Frankly, I would prefer testing that revolved around “Which barrel is best for this or that paint brand?”; it strikes me that people are more likely to stick to one brand of paint, or get stuck with field paint, than to switch to a paint that matches their barrel, or that all the testing was done with. :P Choosing a barrel based on your paint preference just seems to make more sense in general.

I buy Impact paint there all the time.

Re: Best budget paint for a 98

Hm. Around here, paintball hasn't been stocked since JT got bought out by Kee. A lot of people on other forums have been saying the same.

Pablo, are you my boss? lol He said the exact same thing. The thing is, they used a ton of barrels with one type of paint. If one type of paint worked better in one barrel, they would have seen it.

I agree with the Formula 13. Some of the best paint I've shot. But I wouldn't call it budget paint, really. Not when it sells for $55 a case.

Re: Best budget paint for a 98

Where im at most of the guys at HDS all shoot the CORE action or CORE Premium, i mean alot of people shoot what they want but for most of the Tippy owners out there CORE is great, and the Action is 40-45 a case and 50 for the Premium. I shot a ton out of my CCI Phantom and it was great --i also had just got the CCI detent rings in the mail as well

Also Wal-Mart where i live does sell paintball stuff, they have some markers and paint, i think they have the visible impact there. Ive played with guys who use it and say it works fine.

Re: Best budget paint for a 98

Visible Impact is good, assuming you get it fresh. The problem with Wal-mart is that they only get 2 shipments of paint a year, for ALL their stores. So they rarely have fresh paint.

No, I’m not your... wait...
<_< >_> Yes... yes, I’m your boss... could you please have all my checks forwarded to a new address? I promise I won’t fire you...

Seriously, no, I’m not your boss, and don’t forward me his checks. XD
May I assume that, in this one thing, at least, your boss was pretty smart?

Oh definitely lol. He's been in the industry (not the sport, the industry) for at least 15 years. He ran his own field right out of high school.
