Re: Rip Clip vs Cyclone Feeder

One of my good friends have a cyclone, and I talked to him about the cyclone feeder. And he said that you run out of air before the cyclone feeder quits working. Hes running an A5 but its pretty much the same feeder. Soo... that should answer your question.

Re: Rip Clip vs Cyclone Feeder

Exactly, if your cyclone is malfunctioning because your tank is low, more than likely you are bouncing targets that are 5 feet away from you, lol.

Re: Rip Clip vs Cyclone Feeder

I'd rather be low on air, than be low on batteries.

Re: Rip Clip vs Cyclone Feeder

^^if you have to back for air...you can change batteries?

either way if you use decent brand name batteries you should be fine with a rip clip. i have put 10,000 rounds through my 98's rip clip and just changed the batteries.

as far as shootdown on the tank and how it effects the cyclone/r/t, on my A5, when i am seriously low on air (ninja 90/4500 takes a while) but the only thing i have noticed is that the marker will dry fire, the air comes out but no paint fly's. meaning the r/t has enough air to work semi no real burst, but not enough to operate the cyclone.

Re: Rip Clip vs Cyclone Feeder

I look at it like this. I know how much I can shoot before I need more air. So that is all I carry into a battle. No point is hauling 20 pods if you can only shoot through 10 on a single fill. With my current set-up, I run out of paint before I run out of air, and then I shoot blanks to get heads down until my tank runs out. So if your constantly running low on air,or worried about it, either downsize your paint haul into a game, or get a bigger tank. Just my .02

Re: Rip Clip vs Cyclone Feeder

oh yeah my rip clip towers 1/4th inch above my sight rail way smaller then the cyclone.
but i have used both cyclone and rip clip and the cyclone is alot lighter on your gun do to the batteries in the rip clip took about a week of constant play to get used to the weight difference.

yes it does way lower then the cyclone does honestly there is no reason for me to buy a low profile hopper like yours cause my stock hopper that came with my rip clip sits lower then yours
