My New Cyclone!!!

Ok I got my cyclone in today. I got it from Simply stunning on A5og.

X7 LP hopper, virtue crown, 1/8” lines, Palmers QEV, Lapco QEPH, TechT soft paddles, TechT ratchet, TechT lightning rod, and War Gear clear housing.

I will be putting it on my 98 after I get the parts in from tippmann.
Let me know what you think

Re: My New Cyclone!!!

Looks WICKED!! I have a fully modded cyclone on my a-5 and I love it. If I remember correctly, you got a heck of a deal on that whole assembly. That's going to turn your 98 into a real head turner.

Re: My New Cyclone!!!

Thanks guys. Yea it works great I cant wait to try it on my 98. It was great on my A5. Did not get to try it with RT because hoses where different sizes but that should be fixed in a few days.

Re: My New Cyclone!!!

This will be the first cyclone I have put on my 98. So if all the mods are needed IDK. But I have about the same in this as it would have cost to get a stock cyclone and soft paddles.

Re: My New Cyclone!!!

Well theoretically speaking.. no, and yes..

If you plan on keeping your ROF under 15 bps than upgrading your cyclone is not necessary.

Upping the cyclone does however make it more efficient, makes it fire a much higher ROF, and allows it to operate at lower pressures.

Aside from the efficiency and speed upgrade, the metal ratchet will help prevent cyclone failure. The stock plastic ratchets supposedly break at around 250,000 shots. I had mine for years with no issues, but I upped my cyclone because I got it for a great price.

the squishy paddled are just simply easier on paint, they are always a plus, that was my first cyclone upgrade.

That being said, you pretty much have to take a fully upgraded cyclone apart, and clean/ re-lube it every game. They turn the cyclone grease silver, leading me to believe that there is metal particulate in the cyclone, so to prevent excess wear, I clean mine all the time, more than I did with the stock assembly.
