Re: Cyclone Help

Damn... I just took apart my Banjos and took a look. Watcher is correct. I never really thought about the "open" "close" effect created by the holes. Although I still believe, the max speed an R/T can achieve is much higher without the cyclone. I am about to reinstall my upgraded cyclone on my 98 and test the results of this theory. We shall see.

Re: Cyclone Help

So I reinstalled the cyclone. I used 1/16th inch thick hoses, and aligned the openings in the bajo fittings with the hoses. I was very pleased (and surprised) with the performance of my marker. The R/T was shooting just as fast as ever, the cyclone fired flawlessly, no breaks, no blanks. I chronoed the gun and i didnt loose any fps, 296. Im very happy. I liked my Halo hopper and trinity aluminum feedneck setup. But I LOVE the look af the x7 low profile on my cyclone. And the cyclone is alot lighter and smaller profile. Thanks Watcher....

Re: Cyclone Help

Good to know that the "open, close" method with the banjos works with the 1/16th hoses

Re: Cyclone Help

It works great... I always thought a smaller width hose would create a greater psi than a wider hose....thus 1/16th vs 1/8th.... I never tried an 1/8th hose on a response trigger so I dont know if it creates a real improvement. Make sure the banjo holes line up correctly when tightened. If not just use a little teflon tape to change the tight point so the they line up...

Re: Cyclone Help

I'll will let you know if there is an improvement with the bigger hoses due to the fact that I ordered them and I'm just waiting for them to come (should be early next week). In the mean time I'm going to tinker with the banjos and the smaller hoses to get this finally working

Re: Cyclone Help

Even with the change in hoses the r/t wasnt working correctly so I spoke to my local paintball shop and got the marker sent to Tippmann I just got my 98 back and apparently my RAP4 stock was the problem... according to Tippmann the depth of the hole is too deep in the stock that is what was causing the problem, I have test fired it and now everything works properly and very well

Re: Cyclone Help

you can just put something in that hole like a metal BB like i said in my post

or you could drill and tap that hole and put a setscrew in there.....people have done that, its a RVA mod..

Re: Cyclone Help

I never thought about using the banjo to control air flow. I will have to check it out on my 98 with cyclone and r/t since I was having problems.
