Which is the easiest 98 to put a Cyclone on?

Alright,

As the title really, which is the easiest 98 to fit a cyclone to, ive got a spare cyclone from my a5 so i thought i would put it to some use in a 98 sniper project.

Any help much appreciated.

Re: Which is the easiest 98 to put a Cyclone on?

Thing is the A5 and the 98 cyclones mount different...im pretty sure the A5 ones have two little rods that stick into the side of the marker...the 98 ones just lock into the stock hopper elbow holes and latch on with a nice easy click just as the stock elbow does. Now im sure with some modding it could be done...hah good luck i havent done it so dont really know what to tell ya to do

i just assumed they were all the same cyclone and there was an adaptor that fitted between the cyclone and the marker to mount it, thinking about it, they would need to be different as there wont be a feed arm on the side of the 98 body like there is on the A5 and X7, not to worry, the cyclone idea can go out of the window, time to source an old pistol mag.

#25 Cyclone Feeder Adapter [98 Custom Cyclone Feed System] TA05015

I think that will work on all 98 models, but I'm honestly not too sure about the Platinum series. I don't own one of those.

Re: Which is the easiest 98 to put a Cyclone on?

ive got the chance of an ex site 98 or bt4 for free, i thought that it would be straight forward job to put the cyclone on, but im not spending a fortune doing it, so im leaning towards the bt4 at the min as i will be able to put one of there pistol mags straight on with no hastle at all, unclip the feedneck and straight on with the pistol mag in its place.
