| Re: cyclone vs rip clip I've gone from stock feeed system straight to the cyclone. I couldn't tell you which is better but if ya wanna save money. Go for the halo like these guys are saying. Th cyclone is sixty bucks. And you going o have to upgradee. Straight up. Cause the pddles aren't the best the the platic ratcht pieces wear down and break prety easily. I bought mine with the upgrade. (Squishy paddles and aluminum ratchet) Not sure which brand upgrade but the ratchet wore down anyway. So I just bought the lapco ratchet upgrade for 30 bucks on amazon. I love the cyclone just cause its cooler to me. Uses power right from my air system. Everything is there. Wont need to worry about the motor or battery or waether destrying it some how. But it'll be like a Benjamin before its perfect. So you decide. Durability or price. Sorrry about thee 40k typos. I am a mobile 98 Og user and my pos att droid can't keep up with my 16yr old girl txting skills. HA.

| Re: cyclone vs rip clip Both hopper have both there strengths and there weaknesses. I've been using the cyclone on my 98 for years now and I have a ripclip on my TM7. Cyclone: + It uses excess air to cyclone, no batteries needed + it has a smaller profile then the rip clip (not much, but noticeable) + it weighs FAR less then the rip clip +cheaper ($10 dollars cheaper) -upgrades are needed practically out of the box for decent performance -requires more maintenance -more prone to breakage (stock parts) Rip Clip: +easier to setup +no maintenance needed +you will never need to upgrade anything +automatically unjams itself (very helpful with crappy paint) -requires 4 AA batteries -heavier |

| Re: cyclone vs rip clip I have used both but have only owned the rip clip the thing I like about the cyclone is the ease of use. No batteries but let's say you brake a ball in either one by far the rip clip is easier to rip apart and clean and put back together. As for hoppers any hopper the cyclon takes the rip clip takes as well low profile tac caps off sets all work with the rip clip. But if you have more then one marker you might as well get a halo or some other force feed hopper. My vote went to rip clip has no problems in the cold or hoses or bs just make sure you bring 4 batteries if you don't buy them at your field. Another note I have done a navy seal dive into a lake size puddle and got all kinds of water on my rip clip board and it still shoots like a champ after the game poured some rice by the board waited a half hour after all the water was sucked up and scoped out the rice still works like a boss Last edited by mib598 : 04-21-2011 at 01:54 AM. |

| Re: cyclone vs rip clip Out of those 2, I would go with the Cyclone. But honestly, for the priceof either, you can get a used Rotor, which blows both of them away.
