Re: Stealth modded hoppers

So I've been thinking of having pre-made hoppers for peeps that don't have an A5, X7 or R5 hopper. Thing is, I gotta sell them at a premium because I won't get any discounts for the hoppers and can't buy THAT much bulk to knock down the price. Cost of hopper($?) + liner($15) = $25 - $35 for my pre-mades. Thoughts?

well the hoppers on Opsgear last i saw were about $15(maybe it was $10 i think. i think $25-30 is reasonable. Is shipping included? If it is then i think $35-40 would be fine.

There is someone that's interested in a completed hopper; $35. S&H I figured $5, you know for a box and packing material and postage + delivery confirmation. Geez, maybe I should be getting more huh? lol???? Well, I'll figure it out. On top of that, I could mod it like mine($5) or at least offer someone a simple Idea to square away an R5 for cheap on their own.

I hate the shiny lids on the Ricochet's. I was gonna dremel that "Ricochet" logo right off, but I was too dang lazy. Bah, it looks good enough for me.

Re: Stealth modded hoppers

Hey greasegun 1964 and nchittendon, how's it going guys? We haven't heard from yas. Anyway I wanted to know if you had any questions or needed some help with that liner? I'm sure there's some forum members that want to hear what you liked or disliked about the mod. I do for sure.

Anyways, hit me up if you need some assistance.

Re: Stealth modded hoppers

Hello again folks. I just received another review back from "oldpnoob" over at the TIPPMANN Forums for my R5 Tek-Liner and thought I'd share. I do plan on amassing all of the reviews from the TIPPMANN Forum, 98OG and A5OG to post in one simple thread, because there's a lot that people haven't read. Anyways, back to oldp's review.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so Techie sent me a set for my Richochet hopper back in late June and I finally got around to installing it. Here is my review:

1 Installation : Relatively easy for anyone that can put together a very basic puzzle. I was able to figure out what goes where, but would suggest possibly marking the backs of the pieces and including a basice diagram on a sheet of paper. Also, I did notice that it actually worked better putting the outside peices in first and than putting the side peices in to better fill the gaps. Perhaps on the back of the diagram number them in the order it is suggested they go in.

2. Fit: Very good. The only part that didn't cover completely was the pieces the went on the top, they didn't fully cover to front screw bump, but I don't see that really effecting much. I had a couple of gaps, but probably more user error than them not being cut correctly. I did do a little trimming with an exacto knife, but nothing major. One improvement (IMO) I made on the design, was to cut the piece that fits onto the lid into strips to allow for quick view of fill level on my hopper. If you cut them into 1/4" strips and position them with 1/4" spaces you still get the quieting factor, plus you can see if you still have balls.

3. Sound Deadening: Yup. Worked just like it should I filled my hopper about 1/2 way and shook it around. I noticed it was considerably less noisy. I realized this when pouring the ball in that not only did it deaden the rattling of the full hopper, but also made the loading process quiter. Might be another idea of padded pods to quiet the process more. Bonus.

4. Conclusion: I think it would be a useful product especially for the Scenario/Woodsball player. While I have not gotten a chance to use it in actual play yet, I am someone who likes to sneak around and I feel that this would give me an advantage over the next guy. For the price marked on the bag, I think it would be worth the price of admission. 10/10
