Rail with Flatline

So I got my flatline today and I was wondering if anyone else had trouble putting the accessory rails that came with it on my 98 custom.I got so frustrated trying to use a screw driver and keep the rails together that I just took a drill to the screws and gripped the rails a best as I could and went from front to back screwing in the screws. Anyways it works now. I think. I'm a little OCD and for me the rails have to be perfectly spaced apart from each other or I'll spend hours on 'em to get them just right. I was able to mount a little red dot scope I got with my airsoft gun on to it so I think I'm good. I'll show some pics later.

Re: Rail with Flatline

Looks nice!.....that's how i started with mine. I got an older T-98 and added a Flatline barrel with rails on the sides, the G36C rail to avoid movement on the barrel from the body, a M16 magazine, cyclone feed with low profile hopper, bolt cover and a M4 stock. I am actually going to add the G36C front and rear sights, already waiting for a laser and flashlight for the sides, another set of rails for the bottom of the flatline barrel for either a grip or a grenade launcher by RAP4 on ebay. And the last thing to put on it would be a head cam on the right side of the barrel in front of the hopper.....what do you think?

By the way a red dot sight wont help as much unless is a sniper gun, it would only get in the way of your vision!

sounds awesome. I wouldn't add a flashlight or laser, just too much, but the launcher would be cool for scenario games. Also the red dot sight doesn't really get in your way. I like to line up shots with it, but I've shot on instinct for so long that I don't really need it. I actually just pre-ordered the rap-4 mag conversion kit so come April no more hopper. Also head cams are fun. I have an Origon Scientific act2k head cam. Its actually good for the price, about $50 on ebay. I tried it on both my gun and head and I think I like the view from my head better but its harder to mount on your head. If you want to see the videos look me up on youtube, xpaullettax

Re: Rail with Flatline

How well does the G36 sight keep your flatline from wobbling? It drives me crazy when im trying to shoot straight, although it does keep the barrel loose enough that i can twist the whole thing sideways and fire it like an Apex.

I don't keep my barrel loose, I just tilt my gun if I really need to. To get it tight I loosened the front bolts on the body then screwed the barrel in. It makes it much tighter. I don't think it works as well if the barrel is loose, but yes it would hold the barrel in place.

Re: Rail with Flatline

I've done it a couple times just to make sure i didn't screw up the first time and my barrel still wobbles.

Re: Rail with Flatline

I don't know how to help you. Just screw the barrel in as much as you can, loosen the front 3 bolts and screw it in more until it is straight. Then tighten the bolts

Re: Rail with Flatline

Re: Rail with Flatline

It does keep the barrel in place but you do still have a very small amount of movement, i have a lot of accesory parts and i used the carrying handle from my old spyder MR1 wich i am going to sell. I placed it in beetwen the rail of tha flatline barrel to the rail of the body. The thing is that the 98C has it's own kit for the G36, when we are using the rail from the X7, it looks better but just gotta make small adjustments. And dosent look that bad, it makes it stronger to carry!.
