Flatline

Hey guys, i have heard mixed things about the flatline and i dont know if its worth the 80 dollar price tag. TechPB says its great and in my oppinion they of all people would know. But im still not sold if its better than a jj ceramic barrel or a cp barrel. I would really appreciate the help because my 98 is my new backup. I just got a sweet PM6 but all of you know the awful feeling when your gun breaks down on you at a scenario or woodsball field and you dont have a good backup. So please help
Thanks

Re: Flatline

I use a flatline all the time. If you want a barrel that will give you distance, then go for it. Just be sure to use paintballs with a hard shell (flatline is hard on paint). If you use harder shelled paintballs then you will be fine.Go for it, you are going to love it.

Re: Flatline

i had the flat line... for like a month. i didnt like it at all, if you are going to spend that much money go for an apex.

Re: Flatline

do not know much about the other barrels but the flatline is better than the stock barrel. what i have read it kinda depends on how you play. if you sit back and do long shots, go with the flatline. if you play aggressive or up front, the flatline really won't make much difference on short or medium distance shots. just my 2 cents.

Re: Flatline

i rather use an 14 inch apex2 barrel instead of a flatline, it is alot cheaper and can sometime shoot farther

Re: Flatline

I also prefer playing up front so I dont feel that a flatline is important for me. Give me a 14in barrel that shoots straight and dosent break paint on the way out and Im good

Re: Flatline

I have two Flat Lines and two Apexs. I far prefer the Flat Line over the Apex. The Flat Line is more accurate at range than the Apex. The Apex does shoot futher. The Apex also has the bennefit of being able to be put on other barrels and you get the accuracy of that barrel when the Apex is turned off. Still, I much prefer the Flat Line.

Now to your question, if your not gonna be enguaging from an extended range on a regular basis, then you dont need the FL. If your like me and need a bit extra range, then get the FL.

Re: Flatline

I use the flatline and so far i have not had an issue. The added range is great, the only thing is unless you have your velocity zeroed in it is nowhere near as accurate as it could be. Overall i am very happy with it.

Re: Flatline

I haven't used one but for the money i think you could get a barrel that will work great, I know you get longer shots with a flatline barrel but i like to be up in the action most of the time. Heck i have ran a four inch barrel in where we play and had a blast
