Quick question!

Has anybody here put a CP long reg on the SP-1? They are only 60 bucks, so that could be a possible solution to my problem. And if you have put one on there did the reg cover still fit on it? Sorry for all the questions guys. Thanks though!

Reg cover will not fit on it however, it's possible to use them. It just means you can't use CO2 safely anymore and you run the risk of blowing your internals. Basically, you're simply taking that safety factor away but if you're using HPA all the time anyways, there is nothing wrong with putting a different reg on it.

In fact, I've put the Ion reg on my SP1s before and they still work perfectly fine.

ok. lol...I just think it will look a little strange without the reg cover on it...oh well. i guess if i get one i can just put a gauge on it so i know how much air is being let in. isnt the sp1 supposed to be around 180psi?

For the most part yes. There is no guage on the stock one but the nice thing is, with the stock reg, it prevents any pressure over 250psi from getting into the solenoid and bursting it. So Smart Parts figured it was not necessary to have a gauge on it. Though with any other regulator, it should be necessary.
