Hey all, I have a Carver One that I keep as a backup/loaner. I have considered modding it to use First Strikes with a bi-pod and scope. However I am wondering if the scope is even worth it........Should I go with a Red dot instead? Also, do I need to make any further alterations to the Carver for First Strikes, beyond drilling out the paintball intake? Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe a scope, in this case, can be helpfull. Not a strong one, but a 3x to 9x should be OK for first strike.

If you want to breach load every first strike, you only need to file the breach and you're ready to go. If you want to, you can mod a tube, that fs would fit in, and file your feed neck. This way, you can load 4/5 fs, depending on how long is your tube.

I'm actualy thinking about the same thing, but for my 98...

i would say a 2x-4x could perhaps be a better range for FS.
do you need a bipod? I mean, does it help your playing style or will it only be "parkinglot intimidation accessory"?

you could make the carver one accept tipx mags modded for FS. the mags are reasonably priced and it makes it easy for you to carry multiple.

@pepe2244: I did buy a 3-9x scope some time ago. However, I was having issues getting it to work with my mask. With the first strikes themselves, someone told me I might be able to just load them in one at a time without filing anything down. I guess I will have to experiment with them at some point.

@Devlin: I am modding this for use as a sniper marker, so a bipod seemed like a good choice for prone-positioned fire. However, if it doesn't add much stabilization, then I will probably drop it......

I have a ACOG replica scope on mine and
i have done a FS mod to it but i may do that pretty soon
that does sound like a good idea

What about using a tacomo mag loading system for First strikes? Have they come out with that yet, and are the mags any good?

ive never understood scopes on paintball guns........ just for looks ? cause they dont shoot far enuff for the scope to be useful

red-dots (without magnification or at the most 2x) are actually quite useful. Then on FS markers i think you could find use for up to 4x.

@Randall Ace-The scope is mostly for looks, at least until I get my marker modified for first strikes. After that, it may be more useful. Besides, it helps my woodland vision somewhat.......
