Ralph Gonzalez, A.K.A. Tazz, owner of Bandit Splat Paintball has partnered with Dye, in which Ralph will give out a brand new 2012 Dye Matrix Rail, to help out the Burkes

Ok if you are still confused on what he said:
Ralph, of Bandit Splat Paintball store, is working with Dye Paintball to give away a 2012 Dye Reflex Rail. To give the marker away, Ralph is selling 800 tickets at $10 each. If you are local to his store, you can purchase them there or you can go to the online BSP Sports store and purchase them on there or you can call in and give him your information and purchase over the phone. When he receives payment, he will take a picture of the ticket (or tickets) with the number showing and send an image of that ticket to the buyer via email. When all 800 tickets have been sold, Ralph with record the pulling of the ticket on video and will post that winning ticket on Facebook. Ralph has stated for the winner, regardless where you live, it will be sent to the winner with no charge other that the tickets purchased (in short, Ralph will be paying for shipping lol).

The entire money from the raffle sale will go to help Burke family as well as Saskia's bf. I have Ralph's word that all of it will go to them, mainly cause I know where his store is lol and I will hold him to it.

I know that he has said that you can purchase tickets via paypal and online, I have contacted him and he has stated that he will have the online store ready to sell the raffle tickets tomorrow, December 26, 2012 and the paypal email is confirmed to be Hardynose@msn.com.

The SouthWest Regulators have established a memorial website for Saskia Burke in which you can sign in at the guestbook and there is a paypal link for those that want to send a monetary donation.

To my fellow paintball players near and far:

The past month has been a trying time for most of us in the paintball community and the outpouring of love and support has been greatly appreciated by the families that have been affected here in Southern California.

A few days after the incident, the idea of a fundraiser came up. Not sitting on my laurels, I spread the word that we would like to do a fundraising raffle at the end of the Big Game at Jungle Island on Feb 12. I basically contacted everyone that I know locally to see what they, their team and/or their sponsors can do to help.

With the huge amount of support that individuals, teams and even companies that have pledged to donate to the fundraising raffle, it would be best to not only raffle items at the end of the up coming Big Game, but to continue to raffle the donated items at other local events as well, with permission from the owners/producers of the event.

In addition, we felt that it would be best to hand over the responsibility to someone that is close to the Burke family and is also on the same paintball team.

I have talked to Gary Dunham a.k.a. DeeLux, XO of the Southwest Regs and a fellow OSF, and he has agreed to take over responsibility. He has known the Burke family a long time and it is his honor to take charge of the overwhelming responsibility.

I know that many of you have gone to the memorial website, posted and donated money..

For that, you are truly thanked and it is very much appreciated.

For those local teams that are wanting to turn in items for donation at the Big Game or have asked your sponsors for items, please consider this: instead of donating an item, a monetary donation in the name of your team and/or sponsor would be much more helpful and appreciated.

If it is convenient for you, your team and/or your sponsors, you can donate that money on the memorial website: Home You can use Paypal direct or also use credit cards as well. If you feel the need to use check, money order or cashier’s check, please email Gary at deelux.sw.regulator@gmail.com on who to make the check to.

For those that are still willing to donate items to be raffled off, Gary is requesting a list of those items, so that he may have a positive control of what is being donated. Gary will outline what and how the donated items will be raffled off as well as showing who has donated on the memorial page.

Again, no one would wish this kind of tragedy to anyone and the timing could not have come at a worst time. We thank you all for your heartfelt wishes and support and we know that nothing can replace the loss of a loved one.

My apologies for not updating everyone on what's going on but here goes.

I know it has been several months since we have had our fund raising Big Game and with the largest gathering I have seen in a long time (not including Decay of Nations) it was great to see that large of a turnout. In addition to players donating money, Jungle Island has also donated the proceeds to the Burke family. I don't remember the exact amount, but I think the amount was a couple of thousands of dollars!

From what I have been told, the boyfriend of the slain daughter was technically dead, but the EMT's have done a miracle and brought him back to life on the way to the hospital! Both the boyfriend and father are physically ok, but we all know that this event will have taken a great toll on them.
