help with a viewloader triad

Its my backup gun, its a hunk of crap. I recently fixed one major issue now I have an issue with the air. I hook up and it makes the common little whoosh sound then when I pull the hammer back and fire it, no air comes out the barrel or anywhere for that matter and the hammer doesnt return to the cocked position. so...WTH is up? any ideas?

Re: help with a viewloader triad

These guns are pretty simple to tear down....

Any luck figuring it out?

Re: help with a viewloader triad

Honestly, no, I haven't. I tore this thing down twice and put it back together the way everything came out. I just do not understand at all. my main intentions in tearing it down were to clean the crud off and out of all the cracks and re-oil it since it hasn't been done in such a long time. Also, to fix the ball spitting problem.(it would shoot a ball then another two or three would fall out.) I fixed that then came across this current problem. I just wanna take it out back and let it meet my 8mm Mauser!

Re: help with a viewloader triad

is it leaking? can you hear air coming aout anywhere? if not it would seem that the hammer is not perhaps hitting the valve with enough force (meaning a too loose spring)?

Re: help with a viewloader triad

Well ,there is no air leaking that I can hear or feel ANYWHERE.
I'll double check the springs. Switch them around to see if that's the problem.

Re: help with a viewloader triad

Aren't VL's like Spyders?? I wonder if you have put it back together right. I have the same problem with an old Spyder E-99. After I re-asembled it 3 or 4 times it finally acted right..

Jrok I believe they are very similar to a spyder. I was thinking this before but, didnt want to tell him that if I was wrong.
