Any suggestions for modifying/new feedneck?

Hi all I am a fairly recent new member. I'm from Kingston, Ontario in Canada.
I am currently the proud owner of a 98 Custom Platinum A.C.T and am looking for help and suggestions for modifying or buying a new feedneck so my hopper is slightly more offset so I can mount my scope. The current set-up of the gun is this.
Polished internals
Click-spring mod
Super response trigger
Rap4 adjustable AR-15 stock
J&J Edge barrel kit with 10" 12" and 14" fronts
Guerilla air remote coil with slide check
Invert Reloader2 hopper
the scope I own that fit before the R/T and hopper is an NCStar multi reticle red dot scope

Any ideas or suggestions for moving the hopper outta the way would be great.

The most simple would be to get a rail to offset your red dot.

I know that would be easiest but I really would like to move the hopper a 1/2 inch out so I could mount the sight in the centre

I don't think they're still in production, but Lapco used to make a feed adapter for 98s that use normal 7/8" elbows. I don't think they were terribly popular as most players found them useless, but I think it might work well in your case.

I would get the offset for your red dot to move it to the side...even with the red dot right on top and the hopper out of the way unless you have a good sight riser or offset you wont be able to use the red dot very well w/a mask on. IMO

Re: Any suggestions for modifying/new feedneck?

you could cut up the original feedneck and modify that. Or since your hopper is sound activated you could do like i did on my ion:

Re: Any suggestions for modifying/new feedneck?

If it only has to be moved out of the way a little bit, you could use a heat gun (or hairdryer) to heat the hopper up and bend it out of the way just enough to fit your scope on. You would lose some hopper capacity, but it could work.
