Just was mask shopping yesterday and couldn't decide between the i4s and profits, but wound up choosing the i4s. Now although I haven't tested them both out during play, I would like to write about my first impressions and the features and how i felt for anyone else considering purchasing either of these masks. Remember the pros and cons are compared to the two masks not every mask on the market

Dye i4s

Pros:
-Great view, great peripherals, you would have no trouble spotting someone
-Great fit, At least for me they fit me perfectly and ran along my jaw line. If you have a bigger head get the profits
-fit snug, these are no going anywhere
-feels like nothing is there

Cons
-small for some people
-big space for your forehead to get hit
-price $100

Profits

Pros:
-probably the most comfortable mask on the market right now feels like a pillow (padded ear pieces and the foam is very comfortable
- two straps and a chin strap i would like to see someone try to tear this off you face.
-offers great amount of protection
-$90

Cons
- compared to i4s the peripherals are not that great
- big on me, but if you have a bigger head than me they would fit perfect

Final thought, the reasons why i picked the i4s is because hey offered a greater span of vision, and they fit perfectly to me I could overlook the comfiness of the profits, since i played with a mask that didn't have that before and you know what i was perfectly fine.although the profits do give more protection, because the i4s fit perfectly on me i could overlook that since they provide all that i need. So both masks are great just a matter of trying them on and seeing how they fit

Nice writeup, I was wondering about those two masks myself.

But I think I will try and get a few more years out of my Dye I3 before I headhunt for another mask.

I've tried on Sly profits and to be honest....they were uncomfortable as hell, not to mention I started sweating like a pig (I was in an air conditioned building). The 2 straps are very nice and the mask doesn't move at all. They honestly need to take some of that extra foam around the ears and put it towards the forehead padding. All in all I would try on ANY mask you've never used before, before you drop the cash on one.

I4's ARE super nice but just not big enough IMO for most players heads. If they ever make an I4-XL, I'd use them over my profilers.
