Re: qd help

sounds like maybe a oring is bad. Where exactly is it leaking? That will help to find out the problem.

Re: qd help

best i can tell it is leaking where the qd nipple screws into the asa adapter. i can see this from soaping the fittings after i installed it. and i tightened the crap out of it. should i be using the teflon or not?

Re: qd help

Use teflon tape as stated above, make sure your threads are clean, and make sure that you are not cross threading the adapter. Wraping the teflon in the same direction as the threads also helps.

Re: qd help

it should seal without the tape also. perhaps your are using to much tape and that stops it from going all in? Do you have a picture?

Re: qd help

To much tape, not enough tape, bad o-ring......does the marker air up correctly w/o your QD connected? ..... try to narrow down the problem area

Re: qd help

i think i found the problem, the asa adapter didn't match the threads on the nipple, so it cross threaded. ill have to wait until i can get to a buddy's house and he has a tap and die set, that'll fix it..... i hope.

on a side note, does anyone know what store would carry a decent tap and die set for this size? and a ballpark price.

thanks
