Well, in the world of paintball, I've become distraught over the past year roughly. My "mind set" is that of a "sniper". Please, no flaming or any of that crap. It's a dead horse and this thread is not about "snipers", it's about pistols. Anyway, my "mind set" is that of a "sniper". One shot, one kill, yadda, yadda. When I step on the field for a game, I plan on running around, being a DSB (Designated Sneaky B******), scouting out areas for intel, etc, etc. (I mainly play scenario) So I've gotten rather annoyed with paintball over the years due to the fact that when I pull the trigger, my paintball isn't necessarily going to hit its mark. Yes, with a real gun, I would be dead on, or close enough, but with paintballs, no way. So, I've decided to go a different approach with paintball. Now, instead of reallying on a pump or full size marker, I'm running around with just dual pistols, or at least, that's my eventual plan. I plan on getting two TPX pistols and running around, doing recon for my team. Now, most people will probably think I'm a few brain cells short of being stupid, but I have my reason for it. My reason is that my primary goal on the field is not to kill the OpFor. Rather, it's to sneak through the enemy lines as quietly and quickly as possible. To blend in with the surrounding, or with the enemy. The pistols are just incase I get made so I have some form of defense. My first and foremost weapon is my mind. But if my mind turns out to not be enough for a certain job, then 1) combat between me and them is CQB cause we're VERY close to each other so they won't have a distance advantage or 2) I'm far enough away that I can run away with my tail tucked between my legs and get away just fine (I'm a fast runner xD).

But for me, paintball isn't about getting a buttload of kills. It's about sitting on the edge of a pond 20 feet from the enemy base at night, occasionally stepping up, walking to their base and "all dead"ing their base multiple times through out the night. xD DSB is what I live for, and pistols are the best thing for me personally.

So, pistols, whether they're good and worth the money, or crap and not worth a glance really just depends on each and every individual player.

ok but ill give in..

tac 8.1 on specops custom vest with extra mag holder.... now i havent got out on the field with it yet as my vest pistol holster wasnt right... waiting for a new one...

but we played attack and defend... i was gearing up to run to the building when i got tagged out... but if i had my pistol..
i would have dropped my 98c by the remote line.... and ran up with my pistol and been shooting in the windows...

I dont have one yet but im thinking about getting a TPX.

I love them, I use a RAP4 RAM P99. It's a piece of work.
