Re: sp-8 with options and upgrades

I take it you're not putting the frame bolt in the trigger guard area? There is a spike that holds the shell solidly onto the frame just in front of the receiving banjo fitting. I find that difficult to pull the internals out with just the back frame screw out. Did that on the first one and broke that off. At least the frame screws do what they're suppose to.

Re: sp-8 with options and upgrades

agreed with ich. a sp-8 is an ion so if you want get an ion and buy a used strong airsoft gun and mod it into the shell rofl. and the 98 is a customable marker tho most people like to make it an m4, m16 milsim style.

There are some pros and cons with the SP8 but you'd have to hold it to figure out yourself whether it's for you or not. As for me, I love the damn thing. Every time I got rid of it, I wanted it back. LOL So now I have one and will never sell ever again. She's running very, very, very nice right now with all the upgrades on it. Though I'm having to do some modifications here and there for a project that I'm working on. That's still secret until the day it has shown good performance during its test run. That may not even be for a couple more months yet. :P Who knows.

Mini are very nice markers. Some say maintenance is a pain but for me, it's just better than my Ion which I have to take apart if I have the first generation one while it's just as easy if its an XE version (Bolt out back).

Marker doesn't make a player better, only the player makes the marker as good as it it. That is my experience with owning so many different markers in just the 4 years alone. I can't recall exactly how many I went through but I know I've been through a LOT!. LOL

so I know that pb is mainly the skill of the person... plus equipment... This is a 98 site so good info up here...

im only looking at playing maybe 4 times a year... and even if i buy something else later.. my 98 goes to my 9yr old....

is there a huge difference between say a mini and a 98c? actual performance wise?
like i said.. my bro in law went from a a-5 to a mini and he said it was a world of difference... I know the 98c is considered as a entry level.. but is it anywhat accurage playing against these other guys?

few of us that will be getting together consist of..
1 - 98
1 - 98c
1 - a-5
1 - bt4
2 - invert mini
1 - automag
1 - ego -echo - whatever it is.. :P
1 - ooooold school autococker

guess ill just order up my cyclone feeder for the 98c to go with my rt..... and have 2 hoppers... 1 for speedball (cut down) and 1 for woodsball

I would advise against using a cyclone and a RT. I once worked on a 98 that had a cyclone and a RT and eventhough it was setup correctly the RT wouldn't work. If I were you I would use either a electric hopper or a gravity hopper like the tacamo arc loader.
