That depends on the barrel design and what gun it's on, but yes, it's true. There is absolutely NO reason to get any longer than 14 in.

no. 16" is sometimes better! i use a 16" and it does shoot longer than 14". and it has more accuracy. The ball went str8 and then at the end it went down. on the 14" it went up and then down. It all depends on what range you like shooting from. 16 if you want accuracy and 14 if you want mobility.
