I have seen 98s before with A5 barrels on them. But... has anyone ever tried to mount an A5 flatline on a 98 Custom?

hahaha first time posting.. you can but from what i have read, and i'm a serious lurker, it isn't worth it. From what i have read the a5 flatty isn't as good as the 98 so just stick with the 98 flatline

The A5 flatline isn't threaded. It replaces the barrel adapter, which the 98 doesn't have. If you do manage to find an adapter to make it work it will space the flatline out from the marker and look like crap.

yea I own an adapter to use my a5 barrels on my 98 custom and Z1k is right. The a5 flatline replaces the whole barrel drum so the a5 flatline cannot be added to the 98. The 98 flatline looks better in my opinion anyways.

Your only other choice is the Apex barrel if you don't want to use the 98 flatline.
