Im looking into buying a new barrel and an apex tip. Im trying to be cost effective so dont post about barrels more than $40. My field uses draxxus field and hellfire paint if that helps at all.

He has probably already found the barrel he wants.

I don't reccomend getting a special barrel with an apex tip, the apex tip will make the upgraded barrel completely pointless.

Hmmmm Im looking for a barrel. What do you recommend. Im kinda a newb, but I heard a barrel is probably the best bang for the buck.

What kind of hopper are you using? The first thing I would recommend getting is a good electric hopper. You can semi-auto all day long without having to worry about misfeeding (if you get a good one).
The second thing I would upgrade is either HPA or a good CO2 setup with anti-siphon,
Then I would worry about the barrel.
But if you're absolutely set on getting a barrel first, search the forum.
Almost everything there is to cover has been covered already.
