Project Salvo Mods

hey all, I just got back into the sport after a few years off and purchased a Tippmann Project Salvo. I had a 98 custom in the past but sold it after I stopped playing. Besides polishing the internals & getting a longer barrel. Are there any recommended mods? I've added a M4 carry handle & 4x scope so that's taken care of. Any suggestions on what to do next besides a trigger kit?

Re: Project Salvo Mods

Barrel. Loader. Guts. Looks.
That is how the treoge of gun upgrading should work. So here are my suggestions:

CP or J&J
Cyclone

The other two don't matter so much unless you really want to tinker.

Re: Project Salvo Mods

If you want to use the scope definitely get a cyclone, if your not going to use it then get either a cyclone or electronic hopper for the same price your preference, either would be fine. After that there isn't really any necessary upgrades to get all the rest is preference. If you want you could convert your marker to ACT, but with a good loader it really isnt that necessary

Re: Project Salvo Mods

well I came across both J&J and CP barrels at $30 for a 16" so that would give me a little more accuracy over the stock barrel & it's in my budget. I'm not a speed shooter so I don't necessarily need the Cyclone system as of yet. I thought if I mount the Pro-Team Power-Feed that would take care of the clearance issues with the scope unless I'm mistaken which I hope somebody will point out if I am.

I'm not familiar with the product.

Re: Project Salvo Mods

Barrel is always a good upgrade. After that I would go for a cyclone. A regular hopper can easily be outshot, even on semi. After that it's all preferance.

Re: Project Salvo Mods

the power-feed for the 98c moves the hopper to the left side of the marker and uses an elbow like most other feed systems:

Pro-Team Products Power Feed [98]

I should still have mine from when I had the 98c. I just don't know if it'll provide enough of an offset for the scope (4x22 AR-15 scope that mounts to the carry handle)

Re: Project Salvo Mods

I have a salvo and first thing i did was throw a cyclone feed system on it. then i put a folding foregrip on it to give me a better handle when stock is folded in. Like having the front grip, would suggest throwing one on.
