I was thinking about trying to make my Pro/Carbine,

look like either the Chinese Assault Rifle,
or the Assault Rifle,
Both would look sick in my opinion, and I may even do both, since i have my Spyder Pilot ACS too, so, if I do do this, I was thinking of either finding another foregrip for cheap, or making a custom feed neck system to get the foregrip out of the way, so i can put the proper looking foregrips on, prob made out of wood, since that is what the actual gun would be in real life, and making a custom body shroud for the pro/carb using the 4 screws that hold the trigger frame on, if i decide to go ahead with this, i will post some pics to give a better idea of what I am thinking. Let me know what u think, thanks.

well one resembles an ak47 and the other a g3 so i would look for parts for those. T

Edit: lol just saw that its for the procarbine, then i would do the regular assault rifle, get an airsoft g3 kit and put the pro carbine in there, thats all i could think of

I was thinking of trying to make my own body and forgrip for it, i think it would be a lot more sturdier too if i did it that way, wood and sheet metal VS. plastic, and i don't want to fork out 50 or 60 or more to get an airsoft gun just to gut.

Just got some copper pipe (3/4") to be the fake gas tube, and some connectors to act as a way to connect the fake gas tube to the barrel, I plan on using sheet metal wrapped around the gun as the body using the four trigger frame screws, and putting an AK 47 magazine on it, pics to follow soon, prob after i get done with work 2morrow, after 7 more than likely.

Hey ghandi, you could buy an airsoft dust cover though, as it would be a pain to get the sheet metal into shape.

I see that being an issue, but i wanted metal, and to just get that part, not cheap, at least i have no idea where to get stuff like that cheap, strong plastic could work though, I'll have to look around, thanks for the tip.

Cheapest I've seen is $18. But now that I've thought about it, you could probably achieve a similar shape with sheet metal.

Seeing as the dust cover is just stamped metal, you may be able to use a similar process. So I would start off with making a full scale drawing then transfer them to a piece of wood(the harder the better) which will be your female half of a mold. Then route out the proper shape into the wood in which the sheet metal and male half of the mold will fit. Next you would shape up a piece of wood to fit in the other half. Now you want fairly thick pieces of wood for both parts as you will be hammering them into each other and don't want any cracks. Finally place your sheet metal over the female piece then hammer in the other piece.

I never thought about doing that, Thanks, i will have to look into that, but, since the gun i am making it into, (the Chinese Assault Rifle), isn't all that detailed on the outside, I haver the remnants of a cheap AK airsoft gun, and i could cut out a few sections of the remaining body and attach them to the sheet metal, thus making it not too difficult, yet still making it look fairly good, but I will def look into the stamping process, THANKS!!!!!!!!
