Operation: Market Garden Sept. 3rd-4th, 2011

”During the fall of 1944 the Allies attempt to end the war before Christmas. Their plan is to drop 30,000 para-troops 300 mile behind enemy lines and then send XXX corps to save them. Their aim is to game the bridges over the Rhine and have an open gate into Germany. Do you have what it takes?”

Gate opens at 17:00hrs Fri, Sept. 2
Meet and greet at HQ2 with open hospitality tent.

Sat. Sept 3
Air stations and paint sales open at 07:00hrs.
Ref announcements start at 09:00hrs.
Drop zone Alpha (Arnham) goes hot at 09:30hrs, Drop zone Baker (Nijmegan) goes hot at 09:45hrs and Drop Zone Charlie (Oosterbeck) goes hot at 10:00hrs.
Secondary objectives open from 12:00hrs to 14:00hrs
Flag counts vary by location and mission
Games last until 17:30hrs.
Night game starts at 22:00hrs and will last one hour.

Sun. Sept 4
Air stations and paint sales open at 08:00
Ref announcements start at 09:00hrs
Germans rollout to set defenses at 09:30
British XXX Corps start the attack at 10:00hrs on the first section of the road.
Scoring and lunch brake at 12:00hrs
Game moves to second road section and Germans set defenses at 13:00hrs
British XXX Corp start the second attack at 13:30hrs
Scoring and short brake at 15:30hrs.
Final Battle starts at 14:00 and goes until there is a clear victor
Awards and final score announced at 17:30hrs.

Weekend price on the game is $75 per person or $65 if you pre-register.
One day is $40 per person or $35 pre-register
Pre-registration dead line is Tues Aug. 30, 2011

Early Bird registration deadline is May 1st, 2011
Weekend Early bird is $50 per person.

The Team are divided into a Divisional command structure with a total of 6 commanders and 6 OX positions.

Allied Forces are:
British XXX corp. and 1st Airborne
American 101st/82nd Airborne
Polish 1st Airborne

Axis Forces are:
2nd SS “Bitrich” Division
417th Inf.
6th FJR: CO

We have working showers on site and 10 acres of camping. If you are planning on bringing an RV please call DFW to get a reserved spot.

We will have hot dogs, chili and nachos on site. There is a wal-mart and plenty of places to go eat with in a 10 min. drive.

With the interest we have had in this game over the years, we fully expect this to bring more than 500 players!!

Mad Ivan's Scenario has a new policy for the command application process. All players wishing to be part of the command staff will need to read this and apply for the position via this process.

Any player who wishes to be in a command role will need to send an e-mail to madivanscenarios@yahoo.com and list the following information:

Full Name
Call Signs
Team Membership
Contact Info (Email and Phone)
Event name, date and side you wish to command
short list of personal play history and command history
Optional info includes references, amount of time in the game and out of game experience that might make you a better pick.

Benefits for commanders include: free entry fee, inside pregame info access and for some events there even is monetary compensation.

If you as a player would like to draft someone for command, we are accepting 'reference applications'. all you need to do is send the above info to us about the player you wish to draft with a note telling us that it's a reference application.

We have a long list of events and positions in the next year. You may apply for more than one event at a time...

duties of a commander:
pre-game organization for larger games and pre-game tactical intel processing.
In game 'go to' person for game master and head ref for your team.
Tactical command of your team.
Primary decision maker for after event personal award (MVP, MVT and like).

Game info:

Sept. 2
Gate opens at 17:00hrs

1830hrs Meet and greet at HQ2 with open hospitality tent. We will have a keg of beer and Gatoraide. We need to have someone bring some kind of food. I’m thinking hotdogs, BBQ or even pizza… open to ideas and help.

Sat. Sept 3
Air stations and paint sales open at 0700hrs.
Ref announcements start at 0900hrs.
Germans may take the field as needed anytime after 0900hrs.


Air Assault(Scene I - 0930hrs to 1230hrs)

Drop Zone Alpha (Arnham) goes hot at 09:30hrs Location 20.7 26.5 on the north road right where the road forks to go to motor cross track. (one cannon shot and radio call to open)
Drop Zone Baker (Nijmegan) goes hot at 09:45hrs Location 18.9 27.6 the north gate at HQ2 (two cannon shots and radio call to open)
Drop Zone Charlie (Oosterbeck) goes hot at 10:00hrs. Location 18.1 27.1 the south gate out of HQ2 between the two small ponds. (Three cannon shots and radio call to open)

Special rules I:
Allied Resurrection will only be allowed at Drop Zone Charlie. All Allied players must go to that point to re enter the field until another resurrection point can be secured.

Drop Zone Alpha and Baker are only open for about one minute after the cannon shot. Meaning, if you are not there and ready when the gun goes off then you missed being able to use the drop zone.

German Resurrection does not open until 1000hrs. It will be at the same point as Drop Zone Baker. German Allied players must go to that point to re enter the field until another resurrection point can be secured.

No allied tanks may enter the field until 1030hrs and may only enter at Drop Zone Charlie
