Backstory continued:

Spring, 43 B.C. - The Second Patrician War begins. After tasking his young nephew, Gaius Octavian, with keeping the peace in Rome, Caesar marches east with General Marc Antony and 150,000 troops to engage the forces of Brutus, under command of Generals Hertius, a former Roman consul who remained loyal to Brutus. During their march, Caesar's forces are assaulted by 100,000 Germanic tribesmen, causing heavy casualties in several engagements. Caesar is forced to halt his advance.

Summer, 43 B.C. - After driving off the Germanic attackers and receiving reinforcements from Rome, Caesar's legions continue their march toward Roman Thrace, determined to crush Brutus and his new followers.

The Ides of March have come, but Caesar was not gone...

until...

Spring, 30 B.C. - Julius Caesar, emperor over all Rome, dies in his sleep at his villa in Capri. His funeral becomes the most- attended single event in the history of the world, with more than three million mourners packing the streets of Rome. In honor of his long and glorious reign, Caesar's body is placed in a magnificent tomb in the very heart of the city, where it remains to this day.

For thousands of years after the natural death of Caesar, in the name of the Emperor, the Houses of Brutii and Julii wage perpetual wars of conquest across the globe which have made them all the more rich and popular. Then, the efforts were focused on the stars.

Spring, 2043 A.D. - Two Roman Astro-Legionaires, Quintus Servilius Celsus and Decimus Apollonius, embark on an 24-month mission to conquer the planet of Mars in the name of the Emperor. The mission is hailed as "The most glorious triumph of engineering and courage in the history of the world." After six months of working on the surface of Mars, the two pioneers begin their long trek home.

Battle plans have been drawn and the two houses will clash on Saturday. At 5:15pm a new Emperor will be chosen.

A bacchanalia will be held after the game to celebrate the crowning of the new Emperor of Rome 2045 on the Day of St. Patrick. Of course, being Lá Fhéile Pádraig, we must convene in LIMERICK, PA. The after party will be held at Alley Gators @ Limerick Bowl, 653 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA, (7 minutes from the field) 610-495-0227 Limerick Bowl | Bowling, Billiards, and Lounge, in Limerick, PA.

The day after, both houses can join together for free open play on Sunday back at the field with your wristband and player ID card. Gates open at 8:45 on Sunday.

The TSSOC Express runs from 6:30-9:00am to shuttle your gear up the hill.

Field walks are permitted until 8:30am. Please do not touch or move anything you see.
