My journey to the dark, very dark side

The title says it all. Im the proud owner of a WGP superstock 05

It came at the proshop today, i'll go grab it tomorrow morning. Yes its no ego, i know that, but i wanted something i can tinker with and make it mine. Its all stock, for now, and the first thing im gonna change is the feedneck.. im way too poor to afford a rotor, might find a halo or something. for now its feeded with a Proto Primo loader.. Since i had cyclone on everyone of my markers, its a tought bill to get the marker and a electronic loader.

What do you think? anyone got tips, experiences with that kind of cocker?

Its not the number of markers you own it is what you have done to make them your own style of marker.

Clamping feed neck and a Barrel kit. You need to have a good barrel to bore match on cockers. I believe Magmore is a huge cocker fan, he will probably be able to help you some too.

Re: My journey to the dark, very dark side

isnt the barrel bore match so that the paint actually stays in the barrel

Re: My journey to the dark, very dark side

well, if the paint fit to my bore match, yes it will help keep it inside the barrel instead of rolling out. If my barrel are too big, paint can fall out. I dont know the bore match on theses but i'll soon know but yeah, a barrel kit or maybe a python compressor kit could be nice

Superstocks are pretty good cockers. The only problem I've heard of is that the membrane on the Worrframe tends to fall off pretty quickly. But other than that, they are a fine example of an autococker. The milling is pretty unique. A lot of autocockers look very similar to each other, but this one stands out.

As far as what to upgrade, you NEED a barrel kit. You flat-out NEED one. The barrels that you have for it are probably .689 or .693. I haven't seen paint that big in years. I typically have to use a .679 on my cockers. I recommend a CP 2-piece. One of the cheaper barrels around, and still one of the highest quality. Usually with barrel kits you save money per item if you get all of them at once. With a CP that isn't true, so if you only want one or 2 barrels, you can get just one or 2 barrels and not have to pay more. This is good, considering you don't need more than 3 backs, a .679, .682, and maybe a .685. As was mentioned, a new feedneck might not be a bad idea. But it really isn't necesary, depending on what hopper you're using. Some will fit just fine. If you want to shoot pretty fast with this gun, you might want to consider getting QEV's on the ram. A ram without them can usually cycle at ~15 BPS. Anything faster will require QEV's. Even if you don't want to shoot fast, I know a lot of people like them since the make the ram a little snappier.

Other than that, you're pretty much good to go. The STO ram is a great ram, no need to upgrade there. The LPR will work just fine, unless you really start to push the ROF. IIRC the stock bolt is delrin, so no point upgrading that... Black magic reg is pure gold, WGP regs are my favorites. The only other thing I'd recommend getting is an on/off ASA. Not terribly necesary, but huge in the convience department.

...And by dark side, you really mean the light side right?
