Another rifle project

The title says it all! but instead of using a 98, im gonna use a old Maverick pump gum, smaller, lighter and WAY more gas efficient. The whole goal of this is turn this rifle into a open class stock marker. Yes, using 10 round hopper and a 12g. I can get about 30 shot with the 12g so its pretty good.

Thats the marker before i touched it.. all stock

Lets start with the body of that badboy

I got it from Arson in the name of our dear friendship and another maverick ( thank god there was one left to appease his fiery fiery temper :P )
It was broken in 2... and very very weirdly packaged! my postal office was like ''what the heck is that?'' Duct tape and news paper FTW :P

Now, thank to wood glue and wood filler it look like this

my plan is to drop the maverick in the body without cutting too much of the marker... i want it operational if i want to play with it without the stock.

here is a side by side comparison

i'll need to saw a bit of the stock at the barrel end to make the barrel get a little tip outside of the rifle body.. and severely cut the stock to make room for the 12g adapter..

Thats it for now, wife is asleep so i cant really play with the dremel, yet :P

After lot of dremel work :P

I decided to put a mag in there and use a metal screwed neck ( un ostie de collet de plomberie... ché pas en anglais..) I've cut into the stock to leave room for the 12g and still have enough space to move my hand around it to change it and tighten it on the field. the space between the asa and the grip look tight, but my thumb fit perfectly inside so i've decided to keep it that way.

now a little view of my bolt action genius mechanism.. ( its just a cut lol.. but work soooo well)

and now the sanded and repainted marker ( will do a camo later, when i'll have more paint than black and metallic blue)

Re: Another rifle project

I played for 6 years ( For THE HORDE! undead rogue since the start :P) .. Cataclysm just bored me.. now i play on a vanilla server free :P

The barrel is 12 inches
the whole rifle body is 30 inches
the stock part of the body ( past the pistol grip) is 9 inches

i think i will just need to get a bolt inside the pistol grip where the one for the regular grip goes.. the grip part on teh maverick is holed by one bolt so i will try to replicate that i think..

The arrow will be a hole to bolt the grip like the pistol grip on the original maverick. the rectangle represent a metal strap to hold the maverick body firmly pressed in the rifle body just before it become the barrel, permitting changing barrel on the fly in between games without removing the Maverick from the body. I will need to open the trigger guard and make the trigger longer tho.. my first plan was to modify the maverick in a way i can re-use it as normal pump, but i think i'll try to find me another one to do that purpose...

what do you think? im gonna start working the body to get it in there tomorrow
