| Re: pistols I would think PGP, but it's really not a pistol (though I loved mine before I sold it). I say TPX, and here's why: - The SA-17 is ugly; and looks like someone chopped up a project salvo to make a stock class marker and couldn't figure out the pump... I wouldn't have even thought of it unless it was mentioned; so lets make this a two-marker post from here on out! - The T8.1 is a good marker, but Co2 in the mag is really detrimental, especially from a cost perspective. And First strike is nice, but most people don't know how to shoot a pistol properly anyhow, so that little bit of extra accuracy and distance will be shot straight to hell anyhow without a stock or tank for stability. - The TPX is designed to be kind of like a larger scale Glock 22; one of the best service pistols out there! The Co2 under barrel with quick change is great; and will usually last 2-3 mags. Additionally, because it doesn't puncture the cartridge, you can have the TPX ready to go all weekend, and never lose a drop of Co2 if you don't shoot it! The ammo windows are great if you have bright shelled paint, but don't hurt if you have dark stuff. The internals are basically like a stacked mag system; and realistically could be dropped into any shell for a self contained mag-fed marker. The magazines are less than half the price of the T8 mags; and will fit in most pistol mag holders (especially .50 cal mag holsters). Finally, the TPX is lighter (providing a faster draw), is A5/X7 threaded, and has the reliability and customer service of a Tippmann! |

| Re: pistols TPX vs T8.1 all depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are going to buy a pistol for a backup marker, the TPX works best since it can sit in the holster waiting to be used and not puncture the Co2 till you need to use it. Now as far as playing with the pistol as your primary, I prefer the T8.1 or T9.1. The T8.1 is First strike capable right out of the box. If you don't like the Co2 in the mag Tiberius is making airless magazines to go with the rear remote air option introduced with the x.1 series. I use a T9 and a T8 while running pistols and find the Tiberius Arms pistols to be downright deadly accurate stock! I also run with 4 magazines and can shoot 96 rounds before I have to start changing Co2s. The other bonus is that after each 8 rounds I shoot the next mag has a fresh Co2 cartridge instead of one that has already cooled down from the previous shots. With the TPX you would have already changed the Co2 3 times and ready for the 4th. I do have a total of 8 mags so I need to get some more mag holsters so I can vary more and probably not have to worry about Co2 changes for the whole day. Only problem is that there can be a huge wast of cartridges if you do not end up shooting enough. The grip on the Tiberius is large though so don't buy one till you can hold one in your hands and know you can shoot it comfortably. ![]() |

| Re: pistols I perfer the TPX because it feels comfortable to me and feels close to a glock or a real steel glock variant, and the kick back it gives feels pretty realistic to the glock (to me at least) and it gets about two mags and three shots of another (give or take 1 or 2 shots). the T8/9.1 looks a bit like a space ranger phaser pistol to me...just too sleak and pretty for me...

| Re: pistols Quote:
That seams kind of low to me. Are you shooting through the 16 to 18 rounds really fast or slowly? What FPS range are you shooting? I thought the TPX was supposed to shoot 24 rounds per Co2 like the Tiberius arms pistols. I have been able to repeatedly shoot over 24 rounds per 12 gram shooting fast or slow and many times stretched it to a full 32 rounds with my T9. I have not polished the bolt and am still running the stock barrel. ![]() I would not want to stop, change a mag, then change the Co2 when I may be under fire any second! I'd rather eject the mag and grab a different one so that the Tiberius is 100% ready while I change out my Co2 in the depleted mag or just wait till it's more convenient since I should still have multiple mags ready with air and paint. ![]() |

| Re: pistols well i tend to rapid fire some times, but I don't use the TPX as primary so I don't mind, as long as I get two mags and part of another im ok, but may try to adjust things to lengthen the amount of shots per CO2 carterage

| Re: pistols I've gotten three and a ball from a Co2 in a TPX while testing and while running pistol only before and chonoing around 295, but temperature will of course affect the preformance there. Really though, the important thing is that it's a SUPER fast change for the Co2. Must faster than even reloading a T8 mag; even with tubes and practice! |
