That's actually not a crownpoint. It looks similar, but it was just a RT/E-mag stock-barrel.

A lot of us magger's call it a "RT Crownpoint" since it is similar, or just a RT barrel. Calling it a stock barrel leads to confusion since the traditional mag stock barrel was solid, but I guess calling it a Crownpoint leads to confusion as well.

Whatever

Orele?

I'm just going off of what Cockerpunk said. In his RT video, he says that it came stock with the crownpoint

Yeah, that's technically incorrect.

Nobody's perfect, I go by what AO/TK/AGD says Barrel Assy-RT/RT Pro - Powerfeed Only

I know this barrel shoots great for a stock barrel, although the bore is a little huge.

Back on topic, though, one of the loudest "speedball gun"s I've ever heard is an original Etek. No idea why they are so loud, they just are... It'll hurt you ears if the guy shooting one is right behind you or next to you.

Re: Speedball Tactics???

what would some of the "louder" barrels (with no attachmetns or extra tips added on) are there for the 98C or A5? (brands please and I don't want "this is my faveorite one" type of things)

I want to know in general what are the louder barrels (size, ported, unported, partial porting, etc, diameter, length [more or less size], etc, etc) and what material its made from (ceramic, metal, aluminum, etc) stuff like that...

and please don't way the "oh 18" is a waist of air or less then X size is a waist of air" this is not intended to be that kind of debate...I just want to know more stats and specifics of "this barrel if used this way would be louder then the other barrel if used the same way" hope it makes sense what Im wanting...

Re: Speedball Tactics???

For loud, you want something with very little porting, if at all. Overboring also helps.

If loud is your thing then porting isn't.

Famously loud barrels are OpsGear brand barrels, Lapco 1-piece barrels such as the Bigshot/Microshot/Autospirit, and Palmer's Brass barrels with no porting.
The Flatlines are also known for their increased volume and characteristic pop sound, and there aren't many options other than that. Not many companies are making completely unported or minimum-ported barrels anymore.

I use Lapco myself, they aren't as loud as a completely unported barrel (they are ported for about an inch towards the muzzle, and the muzzle is crowned for about an inch as well), but are still pretty prominant. I don't care about sound signature personally, I just like that they are well made with many good features.

They're milled from solid aluminum (6000s IIRC) and hard annodized. Mine barely show wear. Inside is micro honed, very smooth, the lack of porting makes them efficient, and what porting it does have softens the report a little. The crown does what a crown is supposed to do...
Personally I don't think you can find a better 1-piece.

I know you said no attachments, but the loudest marker you'll ever hear on a field is guaranteed to sport a Dishka style "flash supressor" on the end of it's barrel.
Close second is probably an A-5 flatline with the correct paint or an Etek with a minimally ported barrel such as a Lapco...

Length has nothing to do with report, bore size does more. I've noticed underboring (paint larger than barrel inner diameter) tends to have a louder report. The ball seals the barrel right good, once the ball passes the muzzle all air is released making the report sudden and full, not gradual and partial if some air was allowed to pass the ball in the barrel.

As far as I know, material doesn't have an effect on report either. It would make sense that if the barrel resonates it would have more sound, but I don't see any barrels being made of resonant material and the fact that they have objects going through them and that they are attached to larger inert objects it would kill all vibration capable of noticeable sound projection.

Biggest factor is porting. More porting is quieter, less porting is louder...
