Speedballers Unite

I figured it's about time that we had our own little area to talk about speedball. So for those who play post about anything, what marker you shoot, ask questions about other markers, whether you play Rex or competative, etc.

Anyone looking to get more info on the game go ahead and ask.

To start I shoot an ego6. I just started a team and want to start playing competative but there are few tournies in my area.

Ive held one.. but never fired one.. its lightweight.. but feels fragile compared to a 98.. but then again.. most guns feel that way.. lol

Re: Speedballers Unite

After handling the SP1 and Vibe, the two of them don't seem any different other than the trigger. 11bps is more than enough for me and with a hammerhead barrel, hitting ball on ball is fun. Though I don't speedball much but my heavy gunners do. Dang them with their Egos and Minis.

I run my SP8 (hybrid as I would call it because it is essentially set up for speedball players to get in with woodsballers) which can do 28bps with the T-board, Orange Nano-Unicorn upgraded bolt, Virtue Eyes and one nice lookin' Critical trigger. Never really tried the other modes but shot semi-auto only and I can sure rack it up. Wished I had my chronograph to measure how fast I was shootin'. Oh, and when I tried to go for 29bps, it started chopping. Couldn't get the dwell set right in order to achieve that rate of fire without slowing the ROF down. Sucks but heck 15bps is good enough for me. In fact, I've set the cap switch to that. Hehehe.

Re: Speedballers Unite

The closest thing I have to a speedball marker is an old electro-Icon. Near as I can tell, it's a clone of the Spyder e-99. Hopefully by the end of winter it will be off the workbench and back in action.

from what I have heard vibes are decent markers. I have never seen or held one so I can't tell you much about them. I am not a huge fan of smartparts stuff though.
