I've got a 98c a with a 20oz tank. Here's the problem I can get about 500 rounds through then I'm out of air while my buddy can get maybe 1000-1500 through his gun. There are no leaks that i have found.

First obvious questions. Are they the same gun? IE. Both 98 Customs. If they are the same guns do you have any additional internal mods on yours? IE. Response Trigger, Cyclone Feed, etc. Is your buddy running the same tank, or is he using something different perhaps HPA instead?

To be honest I use a 48cu/3K psi HPA tank on my mechanical trigger 98 Custom with Cyclone and I fall in about the same range as yours.

Yer runnin a Tippmann. It's a pig but 500 shots is really low.

Should get atleast 1k to 1500 with that.

My guess is yer fill guy is screwin ya.

That's a good point. See if they wieght the same next time you get a fill, or try going somewere else to get a fill

Just ask to use his tank next time and see.
If your valve spring is getting weak (not weak where it will leak) you may waste some air per shot.

found my problem had a crack in the power tube. ordered a new one

You dont know for sure if thats the problem until you put the new one in =)
